2/26 - Purim! with Congregation B’nai Israel

Stop by to spin the gragger (noisemaker), eat some hamantaschen, a cookie resembling the three-cornered hat worn by Haman, or just to schmooze in early celebration of Purim!

Congregation B’Nai Israel will feature the Jewish Holiday of Purim which begins on March 6 at sundown.

The story of Purim is told in the Megillah, the Scroll of Esther, and commemorates the triumph of good (Esther) over evil (Haman, who planned to destroy the Jewish people). Purim celebrations include costumes, noisemakers, and gifts of food.
